Chapter Honors Law Enforcement Officer (November 19, 2022)

In keeping with a core objective of the SAR, the Dr. Enemund Meullion Chapter presented Patrolman First Class (PFC) Fredrick Evans of the Pineville Police Department with the Law Enforcement Commendation Medal.  From L-R:  Mike Lee, PFC Evans, and Police Chief Darrell Basco.

Additionally, Tony L. "Bo" Vets II was awarded the Liberty Medal Certificate and a bronze oak leaf cluster for first-line sponsoring ten additional applicants into the SAR.  From L-R, Dr James Morock, Bo Vets, and Mike Lee.


Enemund Meullion Annual Wreath Laying (October 15, 2022)

Chapter Honors Retired Mayor & Inducts New Member (September 24, 2022)

Gloria Quinney received a Certificate of Appreciation for her service to the Dr. Enemund Meullion Chapter.  She provides catered meals for our meetings.  Pictured: Gloria Quinney and Chapter President Mike Lee.

James A. Morock, Sr., M.D., Former Pineville Mayor Clarence Fields, and Chapter President Mike Lee.  Former Mayor Clarence Fields was awarded the SAR Bronze Good Citizenship Medal for his 22 year service as Mayor for the City of Pineville, LA and a Certificate of Appreciation for serving as guest speaker.

Chapter President Mike Lee, Darrell Poole, PhD, and Secretary/Registrar Brent Morock.  Darrell Poole, PhD, received his new member certificate from Chapter President Mike Lee.  Poole 's Patriot Ancestor was Col Mark Bird of the Berks County, PA Militia.

Chapter Honors Local Fire Captain / Paramedic (May 21, 2022)

Chapter Hears About Forts Randolph and Buhlow and Presents Awards to a Local Hero. (March 19, 2022)

President Mike Lee presented guest speaker Richard Holloway with a Certificate of Appreciation and a LASSAR mug for his presentation on the history of Forts Randolph & Buhlow.  Holloway is a Louisiana State Park Ranger at Forts Randolph & Buhlow State Historic Site, where the Dr. Enemund Meullion Chapter holds it meetings.

 

Also, during the meeting, President Lee awarded Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputy Brennan Flory with the SAR Law Enforcement Commendation Award and the SAR Medal for Heroism Award.  Both awards were approved by the LASSAR to be given at the Dr. Enemund Meullion Chapter meeting.  They were joined by members of the GPSO for a group photo.  From left, GPSO Uniform Patrol Division Chief Bryon Taylor, Dr. Enemund Meullion Chapter President Mike Lee, GPSO Deputy Brennan Flory, and GPSO Chief of Detectives Brad Sudduth.


Chapter Hears From MG John Bordelon and Swears in Officers (January 15, 2022)

Compatriot Maj Gen John Bordelon, the guest speaker, received a Certificate of Appreciation and a LASSAR mug for recounting his 39 year Air Force career.

We also learned that before Christmas, James "Rusty" Brenner and his team at Texas Cemetery Restoration, LLC raised the tilting right side of Enemund Meullion's grave while making repairs to other markers damaged by Hurricane Laura.  We thank him and The Rapides Cemetery Preservation Society for making this happen.
