The Dr. Enemund Meullion Chapter Sons of the American Revolution is pleased to have had guest speaker Sheldon Roy of Marksvillle, President of CODOFIL Aux Avoyelles, who spoke on the French families and culture in Avoyelles Parish. He received a Certificate of Appreciation from the chapter. Additionally, the SAR awarded Randy DeCuir of Marksville its Certificate of Appreciation, honoring and recognizing DeCuir's longstanding contributions to historical literature and to genealogy.

October 2017 Events

The Dr. Enemund Meullion Chapter Sons of the American Revolution is pleased to present Jimmie Nelle Lewis with the SAR Martha Washington Medal and Certificate for her longstanding support of SAR and the local chapter, with referrals of SIX family members for SAR membership. Lewis is a member and past Regent of Loyalty Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Mr. Richard Hare was awarded the SAR Military Service Medal and Certificate, in recognition of his U.S. Army Military Service to our nation. ASH Cadet Receives SAR Award (April 13, 2017)

Vice President Mike Sawrie presented the Bronze JROTC Award to C/Capt Ethan Myatt at Alexandria Senior High. The Bronze JROTC Award. The Bronze JROTC Medal was authorized in 1965, and is presented only to students in secondary school JROTC and no recipient may receive it more than once.
